Complete Overhaul - Shoreview MN
After a year and several months of interior and exterior home renovations, this client was in need of a landscape to complement the new look of their home. All existing landscaping was removed and hauled away. The private front entrance incorporates freestanding weathered block walls and columns with cobble style pavers leading guests to the front door. Boulder walls were constructed on the sides and back of the house to accommodate changes in elevation. Winding paver walkways link new deck steps to a lower walkout patio. Decorative limestone rock and shredded hardwood mulch surround newly planted flowering trees, colorful shrubs and perennials.
          
 
   
Extensive Renovation - White Bear Lake MN
Extensive landscape renovation was done over several weeks at this lakeshore property. The clients were looking for ideas in dealing with a steep, wooded slope from the house to the lake access and mailbox below. The final design incorporated weathered concrete block wall terraces, block and paver staircases, a sunken paver patio overlooking the lake, and numerous plantings that are individually watered by drip irrigation. The back entry was enhanced with a freestanding wall and column and a paver entry patio showcasing an iron bench and colorful plant borders.
          
 
   
Front Entry - Lino Lakes MN
The goal of this project was to create a front entry courtyard with a feel of privacy from the street. Two columns constructed of weathered concrete block connected by a freestanding weathered block wall define the space. Colorful flower plantings become a focal point in the weathered block planter that was added along a portion of the front step. Weathered pavers create an inviting entry patio and cover the existing concrete porch.
          
 
   
Front Entry - Shoreview MN
The owner of this home wanted to update the entrance. All existing plants and original sidewalk were removed and weathered pavers were used to create an informal curved walk and cover the old concrete step. A combination of decorative limestone rock, shredded hardwood mulch, and flagstone path set the stage for future plantings.
          
 
   
Natural Stone and Boulders - Centerville MN
Clients requested a place to entertain off their existing patio and an area for the children. A natural wallstone border was installed to create area for a freestanding fire pit and along the house to make a space that was dry and flat for the children to play. Crushed granite stone was used for base. The boulder wall and evergreens were installed along fence line to create privacy for homeowners while entertaining.
          
 
   
Outcroppings and Plants - White Bear Lake MN
Homeowners requested plantings along to drive to soften the entry to house. Outcroppings, plants and mulch were installed to create a pleasant view from street and house.
